Habitat North Beach has today unveiled Habitat Workspace, a brand new shared office space now open in the heart of Byron Bay’s newest community and lifestyle destination.
To celebrate Habitat’s latest addition, Habitat Workspace is offering a FREE two-week trial, providing creative and passionate freelancers and small businesses the opportunity to experience this shared space with like-minded people.
Unlike other shared office spaces, Habitat Workspace offers a collection of 34 “micro” offices and open plan desks suitable for 1 or 2 people.
The space comes fully-furnished with access to the NBN, shared access to a central meeting room and reception area, outdoor meeting spaces, kitchen facilities, and free access to Habitat’s shared pool and recreation area, all encouraging a better work/life balance.
Project Architect Fraser Williams-Martin from local design team, DFJ Architects, explained the concept of Habitat Workspace and why it works within the Habitat community.
“Co-working is a response to a worldwide phenomenon of people needing smaller, more flexible work spaces in order to complete their work, while inspiring collaboration, cross-fertilisation of ideas and connections between co-workers.
“The idea is to share facilities that you don’t need intensely, like kitchenettes or meeting rooms, but then to have your own dedicated work space which suits many contemporary work practices,” said Williams-Martin.
“During the design process we looked at many different models and settled on this one, where you actually get a contained space which you can lock up within a community of like-minded individuals.” he continued.
The Habitat Workspace two-week free trial is available now. Prices start from $125 per week (open desk space) and can be leased on a month to month basis.
