Byron based artists, Jack Bailey and Josh Galletly will have a selection of artworks from their current bodies of work on display and available for purchase at 26 Parkes Ave, Habitat over a four week period from Saturday 22 December.
Josh Galletly, Mixed-media Artist
“We tell ourselves stories about who we are––who we think other people think we are––and where we are in relation to where we want to be. I’m interested in where those stories come from, how they serve us as individuals and the interplay between the conscious and sub-conscious mind.”
Through his paintings and wood-carvings Josh’s current work explores the transition between the known and the unknown, patterns of belief, the function of culture and the participatory role of the individual in its creation.
