Come along to the Habitat gardens on Wednesday 8th May, from 4.30pm and get to know Subpod – the in-ground composting system that turns food waste into food for the soil right there in the garden bed!
Habitat residents are now diverting their green waste from landfill by feeding the worms and microbes in their communal Subpod gardens, enriching the soil and growing herbs and vegetables all on location, right outside their back doors.
As part of International Composting Awareness Week (5th-11th May), Compost Central are holding this special ‘show & tell’ talk. Join founder and Subpod compost designer, Andrew Hayim De Vries, as he shows us how Subpod is used to make composting a part of everyday life within the community, along with tips and tricks on how you can make composting easy in your own backyard.
