PIADA CO. NOW OPEN AT HABITAT

ITALIAN STREET FOOD, BYRON STYLE

There’s something wonderful about simple things done well. A perfectly packed flatbread, fresh mozzarella with bite, pasta cooked just right. Which is why we’re so excited about the arrival of Burleigh’s cult culinary hangout – Piada Co – to Habitat.

The ever-popular eatery has leapt over the border to bring its signature Italian street food to Byron Bay. Tucked into the heart of our community, in Habitat’s central courtyard, this delicious new haunt is part modern piazza, part relaxed coastal hangout - warm, welcoming, casual, but considered. Just like the food.

You might know Piada Co. for its viral (and supremely scrumptious) piadinas – thin, hand-rolled, crisp, warm flatbreads, folded around everything from fresh mozzarella and rocket, to house-made spreads and prosciutto. They're the stars of the lunch menu (served 10am to 4pm), alongside fresh salads and street food faves that keep things light, breezy, and delicious.

From 4–6pm, slip from day to night with $10 margis in hand at Piada’s daily Sundown Social Club. Then sink your tastebuds into signature street eats, close your eyes, feel the sea breeze, and you’re practically on the Adriatic.

Dinner leans into fresh, local ingredients, bold flavours, and the kind of food that brings people together — with wood-fired pizza, handmade pasta, share plates, and a short-but-sharp list of wines and cocktails.

‘We’ve always believed in bringing people together over simple, great food,’ says Bree Edwards, co-founder of Piada Co. ‘Byron has such a strong sense of place and community. We wanted to create something that felt local from the start – somewhere you can drop in for a quick lunch or spend a few hours with friends.’

Come on over, pull up a chair, and see what all the fuss is about.
